Fighting for Families, Workers, and Veterans

OUR ECONOMY MUST WORK FOR EVERYONE

This economy isn’t working for all of us. Too many Republican policies protect the ultra-wealthy and they drive up the cost of living for struggling families. Nearly half of American workers don’t earn a living wage, while the ultra-rich don’t pay their fair share of taxes. This must stop. We will level the field for working families, and make life affordable for all of us.

EVERY AMERICAN CAN HAVE HEALTHCARE

Republican policies have left massive healthcare deserts in this district. Counties have no hospitals, no pediatricians, no trauma centers, and no labor and delivery services. We face critical shortages in mental health care. Emergency medical services are underfunded and stretched to the limit. In the richest country in the world, it doesn’t have to be this way. We can have healthcare for all.

WE DESERVE BETTER REPRESENTATION

My first job will be to advocate for Alabama’s 3rd District. I will accept no money from corporate PACs or PACs representing foreign governments. I will hold town hall meetings so EVERYONE in the district can talk to me and hold me accountable. I will be accessible to you. I will be honest with you. I will be focused on serving you. That is the representation you deserve.

Lee McInnis, an Alabama native, comes from a proud tradition of military and union service—his father was a Korean War veteran and civil engineer, and his mother and relatives were lifelong union members.

Lee served six years in Army Intelligence and later spent 28 years in the Defense Intelligence Community, including multiple overseas deployments and culminating as Acting Director of Intelligence for NATO/USA Special Operations in Afghanistan. He was recognized with several honors, including the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Director’s Intelligence Award.

After retiring from federal service, Lee transitioned to academia, teaching communications and American government, and later earned a second master’s degree in history from Auburn University..
